Mrs Mbombo is a mother, Qualified Headteacher, co-founder and the Chair of Unique Academy. Mrs Mbombo has held prominent posts in early years and primary independent schools in North and West London, in a career spanning over a decade. She is particularly passionate about spiritual development and curriculum design, having designed personalised curriculums for various institutions.
Mr Mohammed Hamani
Trustee responsible for overseeing Qur’aan, Arabic and Halaqah
Mr Hamani is a father, teacher and co-founder of Unique Academy. He has a passion for Qur’aan recitation and memorisation and has over 15 years’ of experience teaching children, young people and adults Qur’aan, Arabic and Islamic studies in the local community. Ustadh is responsible for overseeing Qur’aan, Arabic and Halaqah curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment across the school.
Dr Adnaan Ul Haq
Trustee responsible for Safeguarding, Welfare and Health and Safety
Dr Haq is a dedicated community member who possesses profound interest in child welfare and education. He is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon, who established and leads a pioneering organisation dedicated to assisting students in their pursuit of medical education.
Mr Ashique Rashid
Trustee responsible for Law, SEND, Inclusion and Complaints
Ashique Rashid is an experienced English Lecturer with over eight years of teaching experience across further education, alternative provision, and private tutoring. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching, an LLB (Hons) in Law, and is a qualified AQA Examiner. Ashique has a strong academic foundation in law, along with hands-on experience in civil litigation and mediation. He has worked extensively with SEND students and is committed to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments that support academic and personal growth.
