We are proposing to establish a voluntary aided Muslim school in the London Borough of Hounslow to serve our local community. This consultation is an opportunity for residents, parents, and stakeholders to share their views and help shape the proposal.

What are we asking?

We are seeking your views on our proposal to establish a voluntary aided Muslim school in the London Borough of Hounslow. In particular, we would like to understand:

• Do you support the proposal to establish a voluntary aided Muslim school in Hounslow?
• How likely would you be to consider this school for your child or a child in your care?
• What aspects of a school are most important to you (e.g. academic standards, ethos, location, facilities)?
• Do you feel there is a need for additional faith-based school places in the local area?
• Do you have any concerns or suggestions regarding the proposal?

The demand for high-quality school places that reflect the values and needs of the local community continues to grow. For many families in the London Borough of Hounslow, access to a school with a strong Muslim ethos is an important consideration in their child’s education.

Establishing a voluntary aided Muslim school would:

How can you get involved?

There are several ways you can take part and stay involved in the development of this proposal:

  You can register your interest using the form below.

• Take part in the pre-consultation (May – July)
  The pre-consultation will run from May to July. During this time, you will be able to share your views through an online survey. We will also be visiting local masjids to speak with members of the community in person. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and ask any questions.

• Attend consultation events (September – November)
  Following the pre-consultation, a formal consultation is planned between September and November. During this stage, we will be attending local venues and masjids to meet with the community, gather feedback, and answer questions.

As part of our pupil place planning, we would also like to understand how many children may be interested in attending the proposed Voluntary Aided school.
