TRUSTEES ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic leadership by setting and championing the school’s vision, values, and long-term strategy.
Ensure high standards of educational achievement and monitor performance across all areas.
Ensure that the board includes individuals with the necessary skills, experience, and capacity to support effective governance.
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and lines of accountability.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Regularly review and improve the effectiveness and impact of governance.

Raise educational outcomes for all pupils through robust analysis of data and evidence-based strategies.
Prioritise the safety, happiness, and wellbeing of all children.
Ensure compliance with Department for Education (DfE).
Uphold strong spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) provision and maintain the Islamic ethos of the school.
Uphold and enhance the school’s vision of “excellence in education, values, and building strong community links.”
Provide robust financial oversight and accountability.
Monitor staffing structures, recruitment, and performance management.
Collaborate with other schools in the Trust and relevant settings.
Facilitate external moderation and maintain transparency and accountability.
